WELCOME TO RESERVOIR

The Reservoir is a pub with surprises. At first glance it’s a nice, friendly local, the sort of place where you’re likely to bump into some characters. Then you notice there’s a kitchen on a kind of stage at the back with Thai food busily sizzling away. It does takeaways, too, and while you’re waiting for your pad Thai you can indulge yourself in an aperitif. Perfect. And as well as Sussex ales the bar features Zatec Czech beer, flavoured vodkas and a shots menu.

Then there’s the downstairs bar, opening out into a surprisingly spacious sheltered beer garden, a precious spot for those balmy summer’s evenings.

You expect Reservoirs to be wet, and this one’s no exception, with cask beer the speciality. Every ale we serve is from a local Sussex brewer, and the choice changes with the seasons.
